Sustainability Office

Concordia University has created a huge Sustainable Concordia organization. This organization is based on the understanding that by putting both staff and students together will achieve the utmost success for the multi-stakeholder organization. The group uses a consensus based decision making process to address issues of sustainable development on campus. The council includes students, faculty, staff, administration, community and government; all working together to conquer the challenges brought upon them to make their campus the most beneficial for everyone. The Sustainable Concordia collects their funds from student levy programs. 5 cents per credit from courses go towards campaigns, costs and events for this group.

There are currently seven (10) directors sitting on Sustainable Concordia’s board. Each holds significant knowledge of the organization and was elected at the Spring 2013 AGM. Quorum is four (6) and decisions are made by consensus minus one.
