Sustainable SFU is funded by mandatory fees collected from all SFU students as the result of a referendum a couple of years ago.
It does not fund student clubs. The office does fund some initiatives, including a zero waste program, the academic Change Lab program, the Sustainability Ambassadors and Peers groups and some others.

Actions is a non profit club committed to promoting public awareness of the struggles and discrimination of the homeless community in Vancouver. Edu-Africa is a registered charity with mandate to alleviate poverty through Education. Free the Children
To break the cycle of poverty by raising funds for education. Free The Children is an organization which aims to build sustainable communities with access to education, clean water, healthcare, sources of alternative income, and agriculture in poverty-stricken countries. Raised funds go to support this model.
SFU Lifeline exists to defend the human rights of pre-born children which are assaulted by practices such as abortion and embryonic stem cell research. We are focused on raising awareness about this human rights violation, which kills 100,000 Canadian children every year.
This club promotes Living Opposed to Violence and Exploitation through vegetarian lifestyle and action relating to social justice. This club is for vegans, vegetarians, allies and those curious about adopting a more compassionate lifestyle. Our aim is to create a hate free environment to build the compassionate community at SFU.

Students Offering Support
Club mandate: SOS operates by raising money to raise roofs by raising marks during our Exam-Aid group review sessions, which are taught and run by student volunteers. Each year—via annual outreach trips, 100% of all the money raised from our $20-per-session donation fee goes towards creating sustainable education projects in developing nations around the world
